华慧考博—英语中的时间点和分数的表达方式
在英语的学习中，不少华慧考博的学员对于时间点和分数的表达有时会犯这样或那样的错误。为了让大家更好地掌握并灵活地使用英语中的时间点和分数的表达方式，在这里华慧考博老师将与各位学员一起来进行一些相关的表达方式的总结。1. 时间点的表达
1）所有的时间点都可以用“小时+分钟”的方式来表达，如：
3:00（3点）three或three o’clock
3: 05（3点零5分）three o five
3:15（3点15分）three fifteen
3: 30（3点30分）three thirty
3:40（3点40分）three forty
3:45（3点45分）three forty-five
12:45（12点45分）twelve forty-five
14:45（14点45分）fourteen forty-five
备注：在表示整点时可以直接表达小时的数字或也可以在表达的小时数字后再加上o’clock。
2）如果表示的时间点的分钟数不大于30分钟，可以用“分钟+past+小时”的方式来表达，如：
3: 05（3点零5分）five past three
3:15（3点15分）fifteen past three
3: 30（3点30分）thirty past three或half past three
12:05（12点零5分）five past twelve
14:25（14点25分）twenty-five past fourteen
14:30（14点30分）thirty past fourteen或half past fourteen
备注：当表示的时间点的分钟数正好是30分钟时，可以用“分钟+past+小时”或“half past+小时”的方式来表达。
3）如果表示的时间点的分钟数大于30分钟，可以用“分钟（即1个小时减去现在要表达的分钟数而剩下的分钟数）+to+小时（即现在要表达的小时数加上1个小时后而得到的小时数）”的方式来表达，如：
3:40（3点40分）twenty to four
3:45（3点45分）fifteen to four
11:55（11点55分）five to twelve
12:35（12点35分）twenty-five to thirteen
12:45（12点45分）fifteen to thirteen
14:45（14点45分）fifteen to fifteen
4）如果表示的时间点的分钟数与15分钟有关，那么可用a quarter（即一刻钟）来表达相应的15分钟，如：
3:15（3点15分）a quarter past three
3:45（3点45分）a quarter to four
12:15（12点15分）a quarter past twelve
12:45（12点45分）a quarter to thirteen
5）表示上午的时间，可用“at+时间+in the morning或+a.m.”来表达；而表示下午的时间，可用“at+时间+in the afternoon或+p.m.”来表达；如：
（1) 在上午6点45分——at six forty-five/fifteen to seven/ a quarter to seven in the morning
——at six forty-five/fifteen to seven/ a quarter to seven a.m.
（2)在上午6点15分——at six fifteen/fifteen past six/ a quarter past six in the morning
——at six fifteen/fifteen past six/ a quarter past six a.m.
（3) 在下午6点45分——at six forty-five/fifteen to seven/ a quarter to seven in the afternoon
——at six forty-five/fifteen to seven/ a quarter to seven p.m.
（4)在下午6点15分——at six fifteen/fifteen past six/ a quarter past six in the afternoon
——at six fifteen/fifteen past six/ a quarter past six p.m.
2. 分数的表达
1）在英语中，分数的分子用基数词表达，而其分母用序数词表达；且当其分子大于1时，分母需用序数词的复数形式来表达；如：
（1）三分之一 one third；四分之一 one fourth；十分之一 one tenth；二十五分之一 one twenty-fifth
（2）三分之二two thirds；四分之三 three fourths；十分之三 three tenths；二十五分之四 four twenty-fifths；二十六分之六 six twenty-sixths
2）在英语中，有些分数用half或quarter来表达；如：
二分之一 one half或a half
四分之一 a quarter或one fourth
四分之三 three quarters或three fourths
3）在英语中，带分数用and连接整数和分数的表达，如：
二又四分之三 two and three fourths或two and three quarters
五又四分之一five and one fourth或five and a quarter
二十又五分之一twenty and one fifth
二十又五分之三 twenty and three fifths
